THE STRANGEST LOVE STORY EVER
I closed out Friday night with a movie and posted about it at 1:10am Eastern: "I saw 'You Can See Everything.' No spoilers, but man, that was the strangest love story ever. :/" That was the whole review - no rating, no plot summary, just the two lines.
The film is the new A24 documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, directed by Nathan Fielder ("The Rehearsal," "Nathan for You") together with Lance Oppenheim. It opened in US theaters on October 16, so Friday was the start of its third weekend. The documentary follows Holmes and her partner Billy Evans during the 34 days before she began her prison sentence in 2023, filmed on wide-angle cameras placed all over Holmes' house, and what starts as an intimate portrait stretches into a three-year investigation.
For now it is theatrical-only in the US and Canada; the UK release is set for November 20, and a streaming date on HBO Max has not been announced.
